Ok i got the whole concept down for motion tracking, but when i try and use it in AAE, it loses track and goes all over the place opposed to sticking with what i wanted. Does motion tracking only work when the frame rate aint moving so fast? Example: Andrew Kramer tut, with thought cloud that follows when guy is walking

Yes, it is much harder for the system to recognize for shaky footage. Also, try to find a distinctive point in your footage to track off of. For future refrence, when filming, make sure there is a distinctive object in your scene (Like a coke can or pencil, ha i dont know). Hope this helped

you can also download motion trackers you can add to your scene. but using these brings up another problem of covering them.

Gotcha, Yeah i would imagine that would be a nightmare to track. Andre Kramer mentions once that you can pre compose the layer and add contrast to the layer. Overall boosting the colors to make it easier to track. But then again, that editor might of not even tracked at all. Being such short clips, he could of just keyframed them in thier him selves
